The VHDL Dragons

Some say it’s software, some say it’s hardware - no matter what, the VHDL Dragons operate on the edge of both these fields of development. Like dragons connecting the fairytale world with reality they connect hardware and software by routing pins to hardware, setting the environment such that the processor is able to use memory, peripherals and other basic hardware functions. With their unique skill set they detect things that are better done in digital logic than in SW, such that processor can do something else, while the logic is doing the important stuff resulting in an accelerated and optimized performance of the system. On top of that, most of the dragon’s work focuses on safety relevant modules. To sum it up, our dragons breath fire into our chips, and do so safely, what an unheard of combination!
